The view from these apartments was stunning, and the staff were top level to deal with. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook, the bed was very comfortable, and the linens were clean. On the 53rd floor there's a nice pool, spaces to relax or work, and a gym. My one suggestion is to provide trash bags. There was no place for bio waste and no bin in the kitchen. We paid a 200 MYR cash deposit and got it back immediately at checkout. I recommend this place to everyone.

The views were magnificent, and waking up to that scenery was worth the trip on its own. The clean, functional rooms were thoughtfully laid out, with kitchen utensils and furniture that made them feel like home. Reception was welcoming and professional, and check-in was quick. For the price, the value was great, with more than I expected to get. The well-equipped kitchen makes the stay feel geared toward self-catering and independent living. If you want full luxury room service at all hours, bear that in mind. We loved our time here and will definitely come back. It's a great fit for digital nomads, couples or independent travellers who want a clean, practical place and a great view for the price.

The lifts were the biggest ongoing problem. They're slow, often delayed, and at least one is frequently out of service. Guests regularly crowd the lobby waiting, and even calling one from your floor can take far too long. It creates a bottleneck that makes getting in and out of the building frustrating at any hour. Noise was another major issue. Soundproofing is effectively nonexistent. Corridor windows are left open by design, letting construction noise travel through the building. You hear it directly through your room window, then again as a delayed echo from the corridor. The poorly fitted doors have gaps that let hallway sounds through almost freely. Other guests are consistently audible too, and plumbing from upper floors can be extremely loud, like aircraft or heavy machinery. The building never feels quiet. We couldn't get a single full night of rest across our three-night booking. There were hygiene concerns as well: drain flies kept appearing in the shower, suggesting maintenance problems. The lobby is congested and awkward, and reaching basic amenities like the convenience store or café can mean taking an indirect route through the parking structure. The Riv is listed under a confusing range of nearly identical names on booking platforms, which raises transparency and consistency concerns and makes reviews harder to interpret before booking. The slow elevators, constant noise and maintenance issues make it difficult to recommend.

Getting in was a hassle. You can't park near the entrance to check in, and there's no roadside parking, so we had to park 5-10 minutes away just to get inside. Parking in the building was another mess. Wherever you're assigned, you have to go across towers A, B and C to leave. Then at checkout, the person at the check-in counter was rude when I asked for my deposit back. They questioned whether I'd paid one and asked to see the receipt. The rooms are small, there were flies in the toilet, and the sink leaked. We also had to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. Never staying here again. Sentral suites is much better.

The rooftop pool is very nice and has a great city view. There's also a small store at ground level, around the back of the building. For $30, it's about what you'd expect, but there was mold in the apartment we got and elevator waits ranged from 12-21 minutes. You're in little India, so solo women and people with kids should beware.
