D view hill hotel

For the price, this was a five-star stay. The room was a decent size, the shower had hot water, and the air con worked well. The man there was really nice and gave us a ride back to town when we checked out.

The staff were hospitable, kind and attentive. They handled our issues quickly, and let a friend and me leave our belongings there while we did an overnight jungle trek. Everything was returned safely. The room included two small bottles of water, soap and shampoo packets. We had comfortable beds and very effective AC. We got towels and toilet paper, but only after asking. The price is reflected in the stay. It’s about a ten-minute walk from town, up a hill, and at night the many cicadas around the streetlights make the walk harder. There was no Wi-Fi anywhere in the hotel, and cell reception was sparse, so unlimited data didn’t help much. We stayed in two rooms, and neither had hot water. In the first room, the toilet wouldn’t flush and the door wouldn’t close or lock, so we had to use our belongings to hold it shut. It works for a cheap night. If you want more comfort and to be nearer restaurants and shops, I’d look elsewhere.

Hussein was such a lovely owner. He drove us to the night market and waited an hour while we were there. When we checked out the next day to sleep in the jungle, he let us leave our bags in his own room. After the trek, we came back filthy, and he even let us shower in his room. The hotel was very nice and cozy. I highly recommend it, Hussein is a really good person. Thank you, Hussein ❤️

Rm150 feels far too expensive for this room. The interior is very simple, and I don’t think it’s worth the price.
