Jinhold Service Apartment

I really didn't like this room. It was very dirty, and the whole place needs renovation.

There are several food courts in the area, including Peach Garden, and every room has a kitchen for cooking or reheating food. Parking is plentiful, free, and feels safe. The rates are relatively cheap for the amenities. I keep coming back whenever I visit Kuching and would recommend it for families, as long as you don't expect a three-, four-, or five-star hotel.

Getting food on foot was difficult from this location, so I used an app to order meals. The nearby road is small and may not really suit buses. The studio apartment itself was spacious and had everything I needed in the kitchen. Staff responded quickly, but the building seems old and hasn't had any upgrades.

We paid RM330 a night, but the unit was dirty and run-down, and the toilet smelled. They didn't give us a receipt for the deposit, which felt risky. The first unit, in Block A, seemed eerie and very dirty; it was easy to see it hadn't been cleaned or swept. We asked to move and were switched to Block B. I won't come back unless the new management makes a real effort to improve things, especially cleanliness.
