This resort is far from town and the centre. Even Sungei Lembing town is very rustic, which was the one thing I liked. There's no food available, just vending machines with some drinks and cup noodles. The pool is great for kids, but there are mosquitoes everywhere, so be prepared. The rooms look generally clean, though the bedsheet smelled like someone else. There was no bath towel or soap, so bring your own. They did provide two tiny bottles of shampoo, plus an electric kettle and instant coffee sachets for making coffee, or cup noodles. It's a place away from everything, and not for everyone.

We stayed one night at Casa Hill Resort. The way there goes through Old Chinese Cemetery. Around 6.30pm the power went out. The team on the ground said it was a TNB issue and that it happens often in the area. If outages are common, they should have generators installed. Since it was pitch dark, we decided to leave at 9pm. The place could still become a hidden gem in Sg.Lembing if some things were taken care of.

It's a container hotel, and I found the rooms comfortable. The WiFi signal is strong. The place sits right in the thick jungle, and the clean, moist air felt refreshing. There's also a swimming pool, which is a plus. Loved it.

Who handles reservations on WhatsApp? The response was really poor and uncooperative. When I wanted to book, customer service replied "ok" to every message, and after two days the booking still wasn't settled. Only when I asked for confirmation did they say "ok2"...

In Cabin A, there was a smell as soon as I entered, and three pillows were mouldy. A floor tile near the toilet was faulty, with some brown liquid coming out when stepped on. The kettle was extremely dirty, the towels were dirty, and the toilet seat was faulty.
