The Colony

The bed and pillows were worn out and too soft, and I had back and neck pain during my stay. The room was spacious, with a large TV and a good layout. The location is strategic, close to places around Kuantan and Teluk Cempedak, and the facilities and service were fantastic. Ms N was great and gave clear check-in instructions.

We had a short Ramadan vacation and checked in late. The staff member Z gave clear instructions. There was an outdoor swimming pool, convenient parking, and a restaurant nearby.

The price was reasonable, the location was good, and the swimming pool was nice. We arrived at night and there was nobody at the counter to check us in, so we had to call and it was a bit of a hassle.

Coming from Kemaman, I arrived quite late with a baby, but the staff at The Colony Kuantan made things easy. I asked for a late check-in and they replied quickly and accommodated me well. Check-in was one of the smoothest I've experienced, and parking beside the lobby made unloading easy. Our ground-floor room was very convenient with a baby. It was impressively clean and comfortable, with no odd smells or unpleasant feeling. The bed linens and bathroom both felt spotless and hotel-standard. We tried the pool too. It was clean and well maintained, and suitable for adults and kids around six and up. I wouldn't recommend it for babies, though it was nice for a quick splash and unwind. The location is central and strategic, but I wish it weren't right by the main road for a little more privacy. A Coway water dispenser, small minibar, or café area would be handy for quick drinks or snacks without leaving the building. It was a lovely experience, with great service and a clean space that felt baby-friendly and worth the price. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others.
