Bunny Homestay 408 Roxy Apartment Kuching

The rooms were clean, and the owner explained everything clearly. I stayed at Roxy Apartment Jintsu for 4D3N and found it worth it. I’d stay there again if I visit Kuching.

The apartment is affordable, around RM270+ per night for a three room apartment, and the location is somewhat decent. But the management really needs to improve how it maintains the units. I won’t stay here again. The whole place feels dark and musty. The sheets, blankets, and pillowcases were dirty, covered in yellow stains, and the walls had dirty marks all over. The toilet seat is broken and often comes off when you use it. Breakfast was very bland, with limited choices. It’s run down, nothing like it was years before.

A convenient, clean, comfortable place to stay, with a friendly and very helpful host. There’s nice food and a convenience store on the ground floor, and “Kuching’s best icecream” is less than a minute’s walk away.

The apartment didn’t feel worth what I paid. Here are the problems I ran into: - Both bathrooms have very slippery tiles. Please consider changing them, as they’re dangerous for small kids, older people, and pregnant women. - All the bathrooms and toilets have low water pressure, so even taking a bath isn’t really like taking a bath. - The air conditioner in the living room leaks. The technician in charge of the apartment should know about it. - The sinks smell awful, especially after turning on the tap. - The washing machine and clothes dryer don’t work very well, and there are no proper instructions for guests. - Even though I booked a non-smoking room, all the rooms, including the living room, smelled of cigarette smoke. - There aren’t proper curtains in the three bedrooms or the living room. It’s an apartment, and costs more than a hotel room, so better curtains should be provided. - There’s no iron, though there is an ironing board. When I asked the service counter, they first said they provided one, then suddenly said they didn’t. - There aren’t enough power outlets, and the ones there are too far away for charging phones, laptops, and other devices. - There aren’t many facilities, such as a mirror or a dressing table with a mirror.
