6/10
The location is its strongest point, and there's a spacious lobby. I hadn't realised smoking was promoted here, with smoking areas on every floor and at every corner. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was basic and not the cleanest, though the good water pressure and hot water in the toilet were a plus.

The location made it easy for us to buy things, and the aircon was super. But the room had plenty of insects flying around, and there was no hot water in the morning. The bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, so we had to make a hook ourselves. Service depended on who was working. When I asked for a hair dryer, I got a rude reply, as if I should already know where it was and which one was broken. This really wasn't what I'd expect from an excellent hotel.

The receptionist was especially kind and helpful, which is why I wanted to leave a review. The hotel was good and the rooms were clean.

The staff were really friendly and suggested a few activities and places to see. The decor was antique, giving this Kuching stay a unique feel, and the stay itself was pleasant enough. Love 🫰

I’ve stayed here twice. Being right by the river and shops makes the location great.
