The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and they let my relatives switch rooms after construction noise kept them awake until around 2am during the first few nights. The hand soap in their main bathroom was empty when they arrived. They were eventually moved to a room they were happy with, so it seems the experience can depend on the room you're assigned. I gave the stay 3 stars to recognize the staff's hard work, and hope the facilities improve over time. My family and I stayed in a 2-Bedroom unit at Citadines Kuching. The price was fairly affordable, and being close to the airport was one reason we chose it. We liked the comfortable beds and pillows, good water pressure, and fairly spacious rooms and bathrooms. Towels, soap, toothbrushes and shower caps were provided. The room had no musty or unpleasant smell, and housekeeping refreshed it daily. The Spring is just across from the hotel, which was convenient. The unit is dated and due for renovation, with visible wear and stains that seemed impossible to clean, especially around the toilet seats and on the fabric sofa. Those areas felt unhygienic. The TV was very old, had no Netflix or YouTube, and several channels were too static-filled to watch. The air conditioners were old and noisy, but generally usable. Breakfast was limited, and most items apart from the eggs fell short of expectations. The water from the purifiers outside the rooms had a noticeable algae-like smell, so we weren't comfortable using it and bought bottled water at supermarkets. The key cards also felt dated, since you have to insert them into a slot instead of using tap cards with door alarm functions, now common in many hotels. I did appreciate needing a card to reach the guest floors in the lifts, which adds some security.

The pool felt slimy and didn't seem very clean. Breakfast was basic, but the woman serving it was friendly and helpful, and made me a good omelette. Kudos to her. The rooms are small, and our coffee wasn't replenished. A big plus is being able to walk across to Spring Mall. The parking setup is odd, since you have to go through the basement first.

Breakfast was simple but adequate. The hotel and room were cozy, a little old but clean and well maintained. I'd try for a room facing the swimming pool, as it's quieter and more peaceful than one facing the road.

Breakfast was really bad. I tried it once and won't have it again, you'd be better off making a cup of mee maggi. Room service wasn't great either, I had to ask for towels many times, and the air conditioner didn't cool the room.

We stayed two nights as a family in the Executive Two Bedroom. The apartment was spacious, though it looked old. Its kitchenette had a dining table, and the microwave worked fine. We didn't use the electric stove because the cookware, including the pot, pan and wok, was scratched. There are three air conditioners, one in each bedroom and one in the living room, so adjusting the temperature was easy. The master bedroom had a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, but it felt stuffy because the exhaust fan didn't work properly. The other bedroom had twin beds, no window, dirty-looking walls and dim lighting. Its bathroom was smaller than the master one, without a tub, but was cleaner and fresher, so I mostly used that one. Both bathrooms had empty hand soap bottles. I couldn't tell if they'd forgotten to refill them or if they were just decorative. There were small TVs in the living room and master bedroom, but neither was smart and channel choices were limited. Instead of bottled water, the hotel has filter dispensers in the hallway and glass jars in the rooms. The water tasted a little odd to me, maybe because the tube hose hadn't been cleaned in a while. There's no washing machine in the apartment. A launderette on the third floor has only two washers and two dryers, and you can buy coins at reception for about RM12 each. Breakfast was simple, with limited choices, but tasty enough. The hotel is around a 10-minute drive from the airport and in the same building as ST3 Mall. That mall was quite empty, with only two or three restaurants and various toy vending machines on the ground floor. If you need food or something to buy, The Spring Mall is just across the street.
