Legacy Hill Hotel

I stayed one night, checking in at 8pm and leaving at 7:30am. For sleeping, it was fine, though the room is very narrow for a 16 sqm Superior Queen Room. I booked Legacy Hotel. The location is convenient for food, next to the famous Sarawakian restaurant “Lepau,” with the Western restaurant (Sharing) and a BBQ place nearby. Without a car, getting around may be inconvenient. I rented one, so it was fine for me. The reception staff were polite and welcoming, and the entrance has a pleasant feel with plants and vintage luggage decor. The deep green and white room colors are calming. The AC kept the room cold, and the towels and bed linens were very soft and good quality. There was also a glass electric kettle from the reputable brand KHIND, but no proper socket nearby, so I had to boil water on the small bedside table. The wash basin has no counter space. There’s only room for two toothbrush and toothpaste glasses, with nowhere to put cleanser or other toiletries. For the price and location, the value felt a little low. On a longer stay, the small space and practical inconveniences would stand out.

Great ambience, with quiet corners and a clear, focused feel. If you’re like me, working on the go from anywhere but still wanting slow living and a space that settles your mind, this hotel gets it right, even in the heart of the city.

The location is handy, with food just a short distance away, and it’s a nice place for ootd. Breakfast lets you choose one meal and one drink, but you can’t refill the coffee, tea, or cordial. At least they could provide mineral water. For Muslims, the room is small and the only space to pray faces the toilet, so you have to pray on the bed. Our first time checking in here was for a function, but it didn’t work well for a dinner event. While we were singing karaoke in the function room, we were told to keep the volume down. Maybe they could consider soundproofing that room, as other hotels do. It might be okay for leisure, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a formal function.

A stylish, affordable staycation spot with a nice aesthetic, right in the heart of Kuching. The room was comfortable and the wifi connection reliable. Koko Didi Restaurant and Kohi Mizu Cafe are there too, with nice food and drinks.
