I’d consider staying again mainly because it’s only a few minutes’ walk from AEON Mall. I booked a Deluxe Queen on Agoda for around RM97 for one night before heading back to Kota Kinabalu the next day, and the mall is about 500 meters away. Staff were friendly and helpful. The deposit is RM50, and short stays are available for RM50 for a minimum of 3 hours. At check-in I noticed promotions of up to 40%, with prices around RM100 per night. The lobby is tiny, with just 1-2 sofas, but there’s a Coway water dispenser for guests. They can also store your luggage before check-in or after check-out if you want to walk to the mall. The lift opens and closes extremely slowly, which can make going up and down time consuming. My first room looked okay at first and had two bottles of drinking water, coffee, tea, sugar, a kettle, cups, a comfortable bed, a large mirror, a Smart TV that I really liked, hangers, and a clothing rack. But there were only two small bottles of shower gel and two shower caps. The sink was outside the bathroom, the toilet had stains that were still hard to clean after flushing, the TV cabinet drawer was slightly damaged, and the chair was unstable and uneven. The mini fridge wasn’t cold, a sharp furniture corner near the bed gave me a minor thigh injury, and the air conditioner remote was fixed to the wall so I had to adjust it manually. I asked to change rooms, and the staff handled it well, moving me to another available room on the same level. That room was much better: it had a remote for the air conditioner, the bed was still comfortable, and the clean sheets smelled nice, which I really appreciated. The mini fridge still wasn’t cold, and I hope they improve it. You can ask reception for ironing facilities. One odd thing is that the clothing rack and small drawer are mounted very high on the wall. They might only be convenient for guests around 170cm and above.
