The views are lovely, and it's a beautiful place for hiking in the mountains or watching sunsets at the beach. We had a scooter, and booked through booking, but there was no communication. Food we put in the fridge was taken twice. Bring mosquito repellent, there were lots of them. There were many dogs and cats who need more food and sterilizing. We had a private room, with access to a shared bathroom and other sitting rooms, so there was plenty of space.

I booked the homestay through Booking com for the night of 6th April, and luckily hadn't paid up front. When I arrived, the place was deserted and not open. I'd messaged the homestay many times beforehand, but only got automated replies saying they'd respond within 24 hours. Owners, please remove your place from online accommodation sites.

We had a BBQ for more than 20 village boys and their families, including some people I hadn't seen since we left school in 1982. If you grew up in a village and are now a family man in the city, you may appreciate the atmosphere. City boys wanting to see what life was like 2-3 generations ago might enjoy trying it too. There are lots of mosquitoes at certain times, so I'd bring insect repellent that lasts 8-12 hours.

We booked the family room for four people for three nights, Thursday to Sunday, to attend Rainforest World Music Fest24 with two friends. The old, unclean air con, curtains, bed, and room had so much dust that one of our elderly friends became sick. There were no bins in the room. The kitchen was dirty, and the caretaker hadn't been given a broom, mop, or washing powder by the owner to clean the house. The cabins at the back didn't have enough water for flushing or showering. It's a nice house, but neglected and poorly maintained. There's no public transport, and nothing else around the deserted old house, so we had to hire Maxim or Grab drivers to get around or find food. The sign wasn't well lit when we returned after 10pm, and the road was very dark. We'll never stay here again. I felt so bad for the caretaker.
