Serapi Hotel

I was there for three nights, including a business dinner to appreciate our staff in Sarawak. My one-bedroom stay was very comfortable, and I got a promotional price for lunch on my last day.

The room has quite a few useful things: a chiller, safe, iron and board, prayer mat, table and chair, TV, and bedside sockets including a universal one. There are plenty of TV channels, shower pressure is strong, and room service is available until the last call before 9:30 pm. There's also a vending machine at reception level. The staff were welcoming and quick to help. The bathroom needed more attention. The sink had dirty marks, the grout had mould, and the tiles were dirty. The quilt cover had a stain and unpleasant smell, so it needed changing. The shower water drained slowly and pooled on the floor. Hot water wasn't hot enough either, and the air conditioning didn't cool the room enough even set to 18°C with the fan on high. The hotel is in Satok; banks and eateries are around, though getting to a restaurant or cafe at night takes some walking.

I got itchy all over and it became really bad, so I decided to leave for another hotel instead of staying the night. The room was dusty and dirty, there was cicak poop on the sofa, and the bedsheet had yellow stains. I asked for housekeeping, but when I returned the bed was still dusty and the dirty sheet hadn't been changed. The reviews don't represent what this hotel is like. I'm very disappointed and won't come back.

I tried to contact them through booking.com about cancelling, but they haven't replied once since November. Only the booking.com employee has answered me. Bad customer service.
