Dream Garden Resort

The staff made our stay special. Everyone was kind, helpful, and accommodating. When we had an electricity issue, the team responded right away and suggested other ways to keep us comfortable. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I’d pay a little more attention to the cleaning details, though that may be because I’m quite demanding about that. The main drawback is the location: you really need to rent a scooter to get anywhere. Still, it was a wonderful place to stay if you don’t mind getting around by scooter.

The staff member who greeted me was very friendly and spoke well, which I don’t often encounter in Malaysia. We were upgraded for free from the twin bedroom we booked to a deluxe room. When we chose to stay two more nights, they offered us a special rate for a family bedroom with two queen beds, and we took it. The room was spacious and had amenities including a mini fridge. Water dispensers were nearby, the Wi-Fi was super fast by Malaysian standards, and the surroundings were very quiet. For the price, it was totally worth it. The beach is far, but that didn’t bother us since we had a rented bike. Around here you need your own transport to reach food, unless you’re at a luxury resort where you can have all three meals. We did have two issues. The toilet flush wasn’t working well, so the tank refilled too slowly. We had to pour water in manually using a pail we asked the resort for, which was inconvenient. They said management was changing and they didn’t want to replace the damaged parts. Also, one ceiling light was out.

The staff and service were really bad, and the room was in very poor condition. Lizards were all over the resort, including inside the room. There was no coffee or bottled water, and the bathroom was horrible, with lots of open space. I stayed for two days in the first week of December. It was the worst experience.

The room was spacious, the surroundings were peaceful, and the garden outside was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, and the bed and pillows were comfortable too. There was quite a bit of sand and dust on the floor and toilet rack. I simply washed the rack before using it, and then it was OK for me. We were comfortable staying here.
