Temple Tree Resort

The service feels relaxed but polished, and the staff seem genuinely happy to work there. Beautiful old Malay houses make up the property, with friendly cats wandering around. I’d call the experience authentic and rustic. If you love cats, head down the next street toward Bon Ton, where there’s a sanctuary with lots of cats you can spend time with.

Our rooms were impeccable, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful too, and the barman makes a killer marg and negroni. The hotel grounds and buildings are beautifully restored, with modern touches. Staff were relaxed yet polished, super helpful, and happy to arrange tours and transport. We loved our stay and only wish we’d stayed longer.

We had a really enjoyable two-night stay at Temple Tree Resort. Colonial-3 was a great room, and it came with an outdoor balcony area. Everyone at the resort gave great service, and we especially enjoyed the “Dining under the Stars dinner”. Thanks to the whole Temple Tree team for making the visit so enjoyable. We’d happily stay again on our next Langkawi trip.

Plantation House gave our group of 11 plenty of space during a six-day, five-night multi-generation gathering at the end of 2025. It’s the largest house in the beautiful Temple Tree compound. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated, with attention to detail that made them feel comfortable and inviting. Fauzan at reception was particularly helpful with transport arrangements and tour recommendations, and the rest of the team were friendly and supportive too. I’d highly recommend Temple Tree, especially for families and larger groups.
