We only tried the Ramadan Buffet, and it was good value for money, with a decent variety for the price. The ambiance was simple and nice, and the seating was comfortable. There are also a kidzone, mega chess, beach and pool, plus a bar, cafe, and coffeehouse. It would have been good to have hot drinks like coffee or tea available.

Haritz Goh and his team made our stay especially memorable. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care stood out, and he was always approachable and proactive in helping us. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, efficient, and helpful, and made us feel valued. Holiday Villa Resort Langkawi has direct beach access, lovely well-kept grounds, spacious comfortable rooms, and facilities suited to couples and families. The peaceful but lively atmosphere was a great place to unwind. From the warm welcome and genuine smiles when we arrived, the whole beachfront stay was relaxing. We'd highly recommend it for comfort, great service, and a memorable holiday. We'll certainly be back ♡

The rooms are a decent size, the heated pool is large, breakfast has a good spread, parking is ample and free, and the 24x7 restaurant has a good menu for all palates. Still, this was a very average experience. Look elsewhere. The property is really old and the rooms need a lot of TLC. Staff were unwelcoming, and don't expect a smile at reception. The view of the beach is completely blocked by their restaurant, which is stupidly built. Staying guests have to pay a 30 RM entry fee for the infinity pool and beach restaurant, which is absurd. The pool bar by the other pool shuts at 7 PM, so if you want drinks in the pool, you have to pay the 30 RM and go to the infinity pool. Absolutely stupid. The beach isn't suitable for a dip or swim. Toilets and showers near the pool were very dirty, and the ponds and fountains were poorly maintained and overgrown with algae. When we had an outing or flight and our baby was still asleep, we asked breakfast staff if we could take a slice of bread, cake, or something similar for her to eat when she woke up. We've done this at multiple hotels and resorts in Thailand, Singapore, Bhutan, Bali, Goa, and other parts of India, and staff have always been generous, sometimes packing something for her in a takeaway container. Here, the request was flatly refused. They need to learn a thing or two about hospitality and customer service. We also noticed racist behaviour towards non white guests.

Being right by the beach was the best part of this resort, and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were courteous, the food at all four restaurants was great, and there was live music in the evenings at the beachside restaurant. One restaurant serves breakfast only, another is a 24-hour cafe, and the two by the pool and beach are open from morning to evening. Water sports are available right on the beach, and the resort also has a gym, spa, ping pong table and lawn tennis courts. The grounds are well maintained, and our room was huge and functional, though it could use an upgrade. The main pool, baby pool and jacuzzi are free for guests, while the premium pool area and inflatable tubes cost extra. The key card opens the room, but the electricity controls are manual. There was only one plug near the TV, though staff can provide an extension cord if you ask. The resort is about 2 km from Pantai Cenang beach and the duty-free shopping area.
