The worn mattresses have dead springs, and the rooms are basic and badly in need of renovation. There's visible dampness on the walls, and the balcony grill is rusted with some bars broken, a serious safety concern if you have kids. They don't provide standard toiletries like toothbrushes or toothpaste. On our last day, water and sand dripped from the AC, though maintenance fixed it right away. For the location, there's plenty going for it: right on the beach, ocean-view rooms, a rooftop restaurant with great views, parking for cars and motorbikes, and water activities just outside. Breakfast is available for a small extra fee, and it's decent but basic. If you're on a budget and don't mind roughing it, the location may make it worth considering. Skip it if you want luxury and modern amenities.

I booked one night through Agoda to be near the Pantai Cenang beach area, since the price was lower than other four-star hotels and the Agoda photos made the rooms look clean and well kept. The stay didn't match that impression. I chose a king room with a balcony, but the view was very disappointing and the room was in poor condition, with dust everywhere, a very dirty table, and an unclean bathroom. Lower prices may mean less upkeep, but cleanliness should still be maintained. I also question the hotel's four-star claim when it can't meet basic standards. On a random day they charge 10 rm as heritage for a 3-4 star hotel, while 5-star hotels take 5 rm for the same days. I asked reception to clean or change the room and got no proper help. I then contacted Agoda, who said they had tried reaching the hotel multiple times over more than three hours but received no response. The room wasn't worth what I paid. I'd travelled a long way hoping to relax, but it felt worse than a budget hotel. Many cheaper hotels around Malaysia offer better cleanliness and comfort. The hotel's surprisingly high rating and low price had convinced me, but my experience was far from reality. I strongly suggest they stop calling themselves a four-star property if they can't maintain basic cleanliness and service.

The rooftop view over Pantai Cenang was the best part of breakfast, which starts at 7am. There was a decent selection, though mostly carb-heavy dishes like mee goreng, nasi lemak, white rice, roti canai, cereals, and a few basics. The food was okay, nothing special. Our family room was spacious, clean, and pleasant, with a king bed, a single bed, and a sofa bed. The toilet had low water pressure, but there was a water heater. The price was on the high side during school holidays, as you'd expect in this area. Location is a major plus: Underwater World Langkawi, the main street for chocolates and souvenirs, and Pantai Cenang, where you can catch the fire show after 7:30pm, are all within walking distance. It can get crowded and a little noisy, but being able to get around on foot makes up for it. Laundries and plenty of restaurants are nearby too, handy for longer stays. A solid option for the location, roomy accommodation, and rooftop view.

The staff treated me with such care after I had an accident and fractured my foot. Until I returned to India, they provided a wheelchair and brought breakfast to my room. They were caring and well mannered, and I really appreciate their hospitality and help. I booked this hotel for a solo trip to Langkawi, and also enjoyed the great food, with enough vegetarian options, the lovely view, the neat, clean room, and good service. I'd personally suggest it to other travellers.
