Rahsia Motel

For a budget stay, this worked really well for our three weeks. We had a first-floor room near the pool, and it was set up nicely for remote work, with a proper table and chairs. There was a fridge, microwave, pot, plates and cutlery in the room. The nearest beach is just 7-10 minutes away. A shared water filter was available, and although the kitchen was in rough shape, we still cooked there. There's also a laundrymat at the neighboring hotel.

The value for money was hard to beat, and I wish we'd booked a longer stay. There are plenty of good places to eat nearby, and the beach is about a 10/15-minute walk away. Our room was modern and very clean, with a private porch that was lovely for sitting out in the morning or evening. The reception team and cleaners were really nice, and helped us get into the room early when we arrived before check-in. We'd happily come back.

The pool was a highlight, clean and a nice temperature, with enough room to swim. We could rent scooters right at reception, and the staff were friendly. The room had a fridge, microwave, basic utensils and warm showers, everything we needed. Rahsia Motel was clean and quiet. The beach and lots of restaurants are a short scooter ride away, though we usually went to the island's night markets. We'd stay again for sure.

We had a great four-night stay. The motel is near Cenang beach, around a 15/20-minute walk or just a few minutes by car. Rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were friendly. There's a pool and sunbeds, though the pool had a lot of debris and could use a clean, and the sunbeds need replacing. Apart from that, it was a nice place to stay.
