Hotel Arissa

I emailed twice to ask for a straightforward date change because of unforeseen circumstances, and neither message got even an acknowledgment. I know the request might not have been approved, but a reply was the least they could have done. This felt like a lack of respect and accountability toward a paying guest. Other hotels I booked around the same time were flexible and answered me, so I know basic courtesy was possible. This hotel's silence was frustrating and reflects very poor management and service. I'd warn people thinking of booking here that they shouldn't expect support or communication if a problem comes up.

We paid MYR 175 / SGD 56 for a Junior Twin Room. The hotel is clean and spacious, and ours had a balcony, a hair dryer, and a safe. The bed was comfortable, though the pillow wasn't especially fluffy or firm. It's a handy spot, with popular places about a four-minute walk away, including the satay celup at Restoran Ban Lee Siang. Jonker Walk and The Sandman by Blind Tiger Entertainment are around 15 minutes on foot. Nice if you'd rather be away from the crowds and noise but still close enough to get around. I'd recommend it.

Two emails asking to change my dates got no reply at all, not even a quick acknowledgment. Other hotels managed to respond and be accommodating, but this one stayed silent. If good communication and professionalism matter to you, I'd book somewhere else.

There's plenty of food around the hotel, even though its cafe has stopped operating, and there's enough parking for guests. It works for a short stay. The hotel has been operating for some time, but is still maintained properly. Atigah at reception was very friendly, helpful, and patient when serving customers during check-in.
