Hotel Tamara Melaka

There’s no convenience store nearby, so it’s better to buy what you need before heading back to the hotel. The room is budget-friendly and okay, but cleanliness wasn’t great. The carpeted floor and poor toilet drainage made the place feel outdated, even though it seemed new. The location isn’t strategic either, with not much around in this housing area.

Madam Sumathi was especially helpful when my Traveloka booking ran into a problem on 4 June 2026. She patiently walked me through how to get a refund and went out of her way to sort things out. She was polite and professional the whole time, and clearly took responsibility. Tamara Hotel Melaka is lucky to have her. Thank you, Madam Sumathi!

The pool was kept very clean, and there are places to eat within walking distance. We skipped breakfast since we booked without it. Our room was spacious and the air conditioning worked strongly. Parking was plentiful and free. For a similar price, this was much better than many other hotel rooms we've stayed in.

We stayed one night on 27 December 2025 in room 1119 on the 11th floor. Check-in was quick, the lobby staff were friendly, and they didn't ask for a deposit. The lobby itself looks nice. The room was clean and had the equipment we needed, though there was an unpleasant smell in the toilet. I'd seen similar comments from previous guests on Google reviews, so maybe there's an issue with the trap or gas. I hope management can address it. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that.
