Ask about the cooking experience. It was fun, affordable, and the meal we made was one of the best we had during our time in Malaysia. The staff are very friendly, and we had lots of good conversations. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful guesthouse in Melaka. It feels homey as soon as you step inside, and the reuse of materials gives it a distinctive look. The location is perfect, with all the tourist attractions within walking distance. We'll most certainly return when we visit Melaka again.

I spent three days with Tenna and Lee and really enjoyed it. Their home is right in the centre of Melaka, which made getting around convenient. They were warm and friendly, and gave me suggestions for breakfast and places to visit. I'd choose their house again next time I'm in Melaka.

We spent several days at Orquid and had a fantastic time. It's on a street parallel to Jonker Street, so the location is very good. The house was lovely, well organized, and above all clean. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Teena and Lee welcomed us warmly. They're both lovely people to have long conversations with. She teaches cooking, and he makes small bags from fabrics brought from all over the world. They offered us a refreshing drink, which was just what we needed in the heat. I totally recommend this place.

The owners are the best part of Orkid@29. They give the house a special vibe and make staying in Melaka a lovely experience. The place is cozy and nicely decorated, and the rooms have windows and comfortable beds. You can also book a cooking class and get to enjoy Malaysian food firsthand in the kitchen.
