Vrest Hotel

A last-minute plan to visit Maleka turned into a memorable night that brought back memories of our first trip after the wedding. We stayed at Hotel Vrest to relive those moments. The staff were very polite and welcoming, and always ready to help. It felt like a safe, peaceful place to stay. We were lucky to drive there ourselves this time, which made the journey feel even more special.

That one-night Deepavali stop in Melaka was comfortable, and the receptionist made us feel welcome even though we got in late. Check-in was quick and easy. We booked at the last minute and got a superior room with no windows. It was small, as the booking site had said, but clean, comfortable, and had good water pressure, a working heater, dental kits, and shower gel. There’s a water dispenser on every floor, which was handy, though the lack of a lift makes heavy bags a pain. We only found one rubbish bin, in the bathroom, so tossing food wrappers there felt awkward. The Deepavali rate was high, and for a windowless room I thought it was too much. Under RM100 would feel more reasonable. Still, we appreciated the kind hospitality and had a pleasant short stay.

Really convenient spot, and the room feels cosy. The bathroom wall has a crack that needs fixing, though, and you can hear noise travelling between rooms pretty easily.

We checked in at the last minute with the kids, and the staff were so understanding and made the whole thing easy. Their service was amazing. Really grateful for how warmly they treated us while travelling with little ones.
