The care we received from everyone, from the security guard to the General Manager, made this 12-night stay feel like home. We’ve travelled widely, and that kind of genuine hospitality is a rare find. Mr. Kenneth’s leadership and personal attention across departments clearly helped set a high standard, and the staff we met consistently went beyond their jobs. Thank you to Mr. Kenneth ( GM), Mr. Shashi( Front Office Manager), Ms Shin Yan, Aiman, Hafiz, Niza, Danish at the front office, Mr. Hafiz ( F&B Manager), Ms Nurul, Faizan, Santosh, Shimen, Izzah, Nabila from the F&B, Chef Shahril & team, Sagar (housekeeping), and everyone whose names we’ve missed. We also appreciated how quickly feedback was acted on. We suggested adding some local dishes to breakfast on our first day, and they were there from the next morning. Breakfast had a good mix of Western and local choices, and the menu, in-room dining, and lunch buffet were delicious too. Our room was lovely, with a balcony, nice layout and décor, and useful amenities. The water area had anti-slip tiles, and cleanliness was impeccable. We felt comfortable and looked after throughout the stay. Wonderful people, great food, and we’d happily come back.

We were moved up to a spacious, comfortable three-bedroom suite with a nice balcony. The breakfast stood out too, both the choices and the café setup, and it wasn’t the usual spread. The hotel has recently been refurbished and acquired. Inside and out, it looks beautiful, with a resort-like feel. The only things that kept this from a five-star rating were the shortage of elevators and a false alarm on the night we stayed.

At about 12:20 a.m. on May 24, the public address system woke the whole hotel and guests were sent down to the ground level. I understand two zones, Level 1 and Level 7, set off a false alarm. Apparently there had also been one during the day. I saw elderly couples, families with children, and many other guests taking the stairs. This should not happen at a hotel. I’m also wondering whether the hotel considered any compensation. Afterward I couldn’t sleep until 5 a.m., so I checked out well before noon. There was also a delay getting into Room 315. I arrived around 12:15 p.m. on May 24, after checking in on May 23, and the receptionist on duty said it wouldn’t be ready until 3 p.m. At 2:25, I asked a male reception staff member, whose name I can’t recall, and he arranged another room so I could check in right away. I appreciated that, but why hadn’t the female receptionist offered this earlier?

The Teachers’ Day reunion hi tea was a lovely celebration. There was a good variety of food, and the warm welcome made the gathering memorable and fun.
