I wasn't staying at the hotel, but they let me come in off the street, wait in the lobby, and use the Wi-Fi while I waited for a late bus. The woman at reception was very kind and helped arrange a late-night taxi with a driver who works with the hotel. Across the road, a woman working at AML Electronic Service technology store or Haier Inspired Living noticed me as a tourist, came out from the hair salon, and gave me the number for the taxi driver at the Bakery Ingredients & Frozen Foods cafe across the street, so I could try to arrange a ride that evening when taxis were hard or impossible to get. A friendly hotel with good service.

Good location near a populated area, but the room itself was very basic, with twin beds, hot showers, and towels. The sheets were thin, and there were no toiletries apart from a small bar of soap. The door had no extra lock, so women staying alone should be especially careful.

We had a quiet, very basic place to sleep before catching the ferry to Tioman, only a five-minute walk away. The woman who checked us in was friendly. The sink was broken and leaking, and so was the toilet bidet.

The room was an acceptable size and the air conditioning was okay, but the low water pressure meant I had to brace myself against the wall in the shower. The old mattress was awful and creaked loudly. I could even hear the couple in the next room 'doing their business.' It's a budget hotel, so don't expect much.

The internet, toilet door, and TV weren't working. There was no soap or shower gel.
