The staff were friendly, but the room basics and facilities felt more run-down than the budget hotels I’ve stayed at in India, the Philippines or Cambodia. I paid SGD 18, which is very cheap, but the blanket was paper-thin, almost like a cover sheet, and had lots of black specks on it. I’m not sure what they were. Luckily I brought my own pillowcase. There was no toilet paper, the basin leaked, the pillow was too high and uncomfortable, and the bed was hard to sleep on. If you have no budget, you may have no choice but to stay here. I’d suggest adding a dollar or two for somewhere better. I wouldn’t return. 😅

The location is great, and it’s very cheap, but the place is dirty and run-down. I’d only recommend it if you just need somewhere to pass the night.

The price and location were good, but there were ants everywhere, the internet didn’t reach my room, and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom had a lot of grime caked onto the walls and toilet. The bedroom walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly in years, with strange red stains on the headboard. Looking back, I’d pay a little extra for somewhere nicer.

Some rooms don’t even have a mirror for getting dressed, and there’s no bottled water provided. That’s basic stuff.

The bed felt like a rock, with no cushioning at all. There was no water heater.
