For a short trip, I'd recommend this hotel. It was easy to deal with the staff, especially the receptionists, who made check-in and check-out trouble-free. Housekeeping were friendly and helpful too. Guest parking is available, and you can see the CCTV feed for your parked vehicle on the room TV. We booked a deluxe room for a business trip, with one king bed and one single bed. It wasn't very big, but was enough for three guests. The room was tidy and comfortable, with a nice view of the Canada Hill MIRI landmark from the window. Toiletries, complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water, a hairdryer, iron and board, and towels were provided. A RM50 cash deposit was collected at check-in. The location was convenient for walking to Mami Sambal, Warung Puteri, Kebon Coffee Hut, Miri Handicraft Centre, 3 Beradik Gemok and other places. A few things could be better: the hallway smelled mouldy, probably because of the carpet; the curtains were worn, chair armrests were broken, and the ambient light between the beds didn't work. Street and hallway noise could be heard. Maybe earplugs and a travel sleep mask would help.

For RM130 a night, I don't think it was worth it, and I won't stay here again. In the morning, around 8.30 am, maintenance work was very noisy and disturbing. When I told the receptionist, she didn't apologize and just said she hadn't known they would be working that morning. The second room they gave me had dirt on the floor and wall, plus stains and dirt on the side table, as if housekeeping hadn't wiped it. At check-in, the first room key card wouldn't open the door even after several tries, so I had to go back downstairs and tell them. Poor service for my first stay here.

The room smelled bad, and the shower drain was so slow that water collected. There was a lot of dust under the cabinet, and even after I called the room cleaner, it still wasn't cleaned properly. The hotel is very old, and many things don't match the internet photos. The room floor was cracked and the wall was rotten. My stay here was a very bad experience.

Parking gets 10/10, the bed was comfortable at 9/10, and room cleanliness was 8/10. This was my first two-night stay here. Facilities get 6/10: the hairdryer, one pipe, and two sockets beside the bed in my room weren't working properly. The hotel did provide a toothbrush.
