Merdeka Suites Hotel

The apartment had decent space, but it was dusty and smelled dusty as soon as I walked in, which made me sneeze. Service to the room was slow, and they only provided towels, with no shampoo or bath soap. The air conditioning also took ages to cool things down. The middle bedroom was so cramped that you had to enter it and open the door to get to the shower. First impression of the hotel was okay, though very dim. The security guard was the best part, helping us call an Uber. Thank you so much.

We had a spacious, clean two-bedroom apartment with enough amenities for a comfortable stay. It was quiet and peaceful, and felt like home for the two nights we were there. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. We’ll definitely return.

The rooms were in tip-top condition, and the penthouse view over the Riam area from the patio was beautiful. We’d booked a three-bedroom apartment, but the staff overbooked and upgraded us to a three-bedroom penthouse instead. It has three patios. Four stars for the rooms.

The pillows were the one big problem. They felt so unpleasant and uncomfortable to sleep on that I could’ve mistaken them for dumbbells. Whoever made them deserves a lifetime of bad luck stepping on Lego, with both sides of the pillow always warm. Everything else was nice, including the rooms and the view. 4/5 stars.
