🚫DO NOT STAY HERE! 🚫DO NOT STAY HERE! 🚫DO NOT STAY HERE! The whole building felt dated, dusty, dirty, and musty. I was only in the room a little while before I had trouble breathing. Anyone with asthma, smell sensitivity, or a skin condition should avoid it. There was black mold across the walls and ceiling, which is a health risk. I also believe people smoke in the room: the yellowing and stains on the walls looked like nicotine and tar buildup from cigarette smoke in an enclosed space. If you’re traveling with children or a pregnant woman, stay away. There was a garbage bag, broom, and bin in the hallway, the carpets smelled musty and dusty, and the sheets and pillow felt damp. I asked to change rooms, but the other room was the same. I requested a full refund through the agoda app and had to book another hotel right away because I couldn’t stay there any longer. I called agoda customer service about the refund and asked if it was okay to contact health inspection to check the hotel. The customer service agent probably told the hotel. The hotel said they’d give me a full refund if I didn’t post any bad reviews. I initially agreed because I really needed the refund money. That offer felt very suspicious, since they must know what condition the hotel is in. Even a budget place should meet basic hygiene and safety standards. Guests need somewhere clean and livable that doesn’t put their health at risk.

The stay seemed okay at first, although the place was dusty and smelled moldy, and there were ants. After checkout, the hotel had already returned our deposit, but three hours later they texted me photos of a cracked dressing table glass and demanded compensation. Neither the kids nor I had touched or even gone near it. It was so frustrating to pay “RM300” for something we didn’t break, especially after the deposit had been returned. ‼️Once a customer’s deposit has been returned at checkout, you can’t charge them anything ❌

The room was very comfortable for the price offered on A***A. I’d recommend it if you have your own transport.

We love staying here every time. The rooms are spacious and clean, the shower is comfortable and warm, and the Wifi is fast and strong. The manager is AMAZING, so friendly and provides excellent service. I’d recommend staying here while in Miri.
