BEAR HOTEL at NILAI

The location gets 5/5 from me. The hotel is just behind AEON, near Lotus, and there are restaurants nearby. In the morning, you can look for traditional Malaysian food near resto Dapur Melaka, where prices are around MYR 4-6. I’d give the price 4/5 for value, the room 4/5, and cleanliness 4.5/5. My room had clean linens, a towel, free water refills, a microwave and ironing appliance. But the hot water only came out warm, and there was a lot of mold on the walls that hadn’t been repainted. It didn’t affect comfort, though it wasn’t nice to look at. Follow my reviews, they’re trusted and objective.

The room is simple and tidy after the hotel’s renovation, and nights are quiet despite the walls not being soundproof. There’s a lot of mat rapi on the main road, but this is still a place I’d recommend for a short stay. On my visit last week, there was no hot water. Staff said the heater doesn’t work on rainy days. Alamak, I think they use a solar water heater.

I found it affordable and comfortable for my stay. It was clean too, with strong air conditioning and good water pressure. The owner and staff are friendly, and it’s a good hotel.

There were lots of bugs in my room when I arrived. I stayed only a few hours before booking another hotel. At RM115 including taxes, this doesn’t feel like a budget hotel anymore. The staff member was rude and showed no respect. His expression was rude too, and customers shouldn’t be spoken to that way.
