Anjungan Beach Resort

Breakfast was good, with a different selection each day. I was on the top floor in a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean, though there's no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage upstairs myself. During my stay, no monkeys or cats came onto the property.

The balcony was a lovely place to watch the monkeys and birds. Rooms were spacious and very clean, the bathroom was clean too, and the fresh-smelling bedding was on a really comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was great. It's a short walk across the road to the beach. I'd recommend a short stay here.

Across from the beach, the location is great, and there's a clean pool for the kids. It's a dated hotel, though, and some rooms feel very old, with poor bathroom ventilation. It's not for discerning travelers or anyone expecting a luxury resort. Still, the beds are clean, housekeeping is good, breakfast is decent, and there are English Premier League channels. The beach and places to eat dinner are close by.

The hotel itself was lovely, with friendly staff and a great breakfast. I highly recommend it. The island, though, isn't well kept and has so much plastic and rubbish. Irresponsible boat operators are damaging the coral, giving tourists cake to feed the fish, and speeding through areas where people swim. Businesses like Anjungan need to push for change or they may soon have no business left. Please protect your lovely island!
