DCozy Hotel

There’s food everywhere around the hotel, which is why I chose to stay here, and that part worked out well. The room itself feels very budget, though: the mattress is on the cheap side, the TV only has free-to-air channels and a few radio stations, and instead of a wardrobe there’s just a long metal rail screwed to the wall. I paid over a hundred a night and felt cheated. At 70 a night I might have given it four stars, but at what I paid, it wasn’t worth it.

Sunway Carnival Mall is only a few bucks away, and there are lots of good food stalls nearby, so the location works well. The hotel is compact, smaller than a typical hotel you might expect, but it was clean. I’m fussy about cleanliness and they did well on that.

We’ve made this our company’s go-to hotel for projects in Perai. I’ve stayed twice on business and still have no complaints. The staff are helpful and greet you with a smile, the facilities cover what you need in a cheap room, and housekeeping keeps the room up daily without being asked. My one suggestion would be to add Astro or cable TV.

The rooms were clean, but felt overpriced to me. Cozy is a fair description, though they’re so tiny I had to sit on the toilet to shower.
