Zenith Hotel Putrajaya

The service was frustrating too. There were no towels in our room when we arrived, reception didn't answer our repeated calls, and I had to walk to the desk to ask for help. Even after I got through and requested towels, they took an unreasonably long time to arrive. The toilet kept clogging during our stay, which was inconvenient and unacceptable. From the moment we entered, the room smelled unpleasant and looked dusty. The cleanliness was nowhere near what I'd expect from a hotel claiming 5-star standards. My son and I started sneezing after spending time there, and then my husband developed the same symptoms. Now we're all feeling unwell, which leaves me concerned about the room's cleanliness and air quality. We stayed at Zenith Hotel Putrajaya from 30 May to 1 June, and I was extremely disappointed. I don't think this hotel deserves its 5-star rating. Basic cleanliness, maintenance and service shouldn't be this poor at a hotel advertising itself as 5-star. Guests shouldn't have to chase staff for essentials, deal with unresolved maintenance problems or worry about their family's health after a stay. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

The view was simply splendid, and parking was complementary, although the entrance and exit are rather small for a big car. This was my second stay, and there were a few hiccups. I booked a king bed through agoda, but somehow the system changed it to double beds. They helped by combining the beds and making up for it with free breakfast. The beds were comfy, though the pillows were on the soft side. The room was clean, but maintenance needs to fix the bathroom faucet head that kept falling off. Room service should top up the bath gel and shampoo daily too. Breakfast was acceptable but could improve. For the price, I'd expect more, though it is nearest to JPM.

The room was dusty and smelled unpleasant, and the bedsheets were stained. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant staff seemed inattentive and didn't seem to care about guests' requests. At check-in, an Indian staff member yelled at other staff and was sarcastic with guests. Any internal issues should be handled privately, guests shouldn't have to see that. The front office staff Melissa and Saran were the only good part of my stay. Both were attentive and professional, with a genuine 5-star smile. When I changed rooms, Saran helped move my bags. At checkout, I'd forgotten a card in the room and was in a rush. The same Indian staff member rudely told me to go upstairs and get it myself. Saran stepped in and kindly offered to retrieve it, so I could check out smoothly. I'd give 5 stars just for Melissa and Saran, and sincerely thank them. They were the only ones who made a positive impression.

I couldn't figure out why my skin itched after sleeping in the room, so I was left wondering about the cleanliness or bedding. The corridors and elevators were also uncomfortable, with no air conditioning, especially in warm weather. The place looks beautiful and luxurious from outside, but inside, the management doesn't live up to that. The makeup mirror in my room was damaged and still hadn't been fixed. Room cleaning seemed inconsistent too. Hand towels, tissues, or toilet paper were often missing, and it felt like something was always forgotten. I hope management takes these problems seriously and improves things.
