It was quiet and private up on the hill, away from the main road. The climb was a bit tough, as expected, but we managed it in a Mitsubishi Expander. The room was good value and had everything we needed. The shower stayed very cold even on the highest setting, so we collected warm water in the pail instead. The owner was really friendly and let...

The housekeeper was friendly and easy to reach, and the room was clean, neat, and furnished in a modern style. Finding the place in the evening can be tricky because there isn't a sign. Look for HOOGA CAFE first, then ask someone nearby for directions.

I paid RM350 through Agoda for three bedrooms. If you don't expect much and just need somewhere to sleep, this might suit you. Be warned, there's karaoke late at night, and it gets quite hot in the morning, especially after 8 am.

We had a barbecue at the fire pit, which was lovely in Kundasang's cold weather. The view is partly blocked, but that also makes the place feel private. The owners are very friendly, and the price is affordable. I'd recommend it for families with children. The room was clean and comfortable, with a simple, minimalist design. Some reviews mentioned thin curtains, but they didn't bother us. It's beside Hooga Cafe, near hiking trails and the pasar, and well placed for enjoying the morning in Kundasang.
