Livingston Hotel

Everyone who came from out of town was happy with their stay and with the hospitality from the Livingston Hotel team. I’m thankful I chose Livingston Hotel Sandakan for both my nikah and reception. The whole process, from planning through the event, felt seamless, warm, and memorable. I worked with Shafiqah from Livingston Hotel starting in March 2025 to plan my wedding in October 2025. She was helpful, professional, and accommodating from the start, including with my family’s many special requests. She and Anas were patient and dedicated, and went above and beyond to get every detail right and make the event run smoothly. The food was outstanding, and guests complimented both its taste and presentation. The banquet and service team looked after every table throughout the event. I highly recommend Shafiqah and her team for weddings or other special events. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a real difference. Thank you for making our big day so beautiful and stress-free. ❤️

The room was clean and the air-conditioning worked strongly, with hot water in the shower. It’s spacious, though quite basic. There’s no refrigerator, the safe didn’t work, and little cockroaches were roaming around. No water came from the bidet spray either. Breakfast was simple. We only found out it was included when we asked reception on the second day.

The room was clean, and the location was close to some restaurants. I stayed three nights about four years ago. I wasn’t very happy with the service, though. When we asked for two extra pillows, staff said they could only give us one.

I only need proof of my stay for a company claim, perhaps a stamped Letter of Stay or a signed copy of my Agoda booking confirmation. The staff told me they couldn’t issue a hotel receipt because I booked through Agoda, then kept refusing without suggesting another option. I don’t understand the hotel’s policy and would appreciate advice on getting acceptable proof.
