The staff were great, and there were a couple of seating spots where I could work on my laptop. I had a private double for a couple of nights. It was quite big, but almost empty apart from a mattress on a raised platform. Toilets were shared, with plenty scattered around the property, although some were out of toilet paper until staff were told. The location is right by the coast in the middle of downtown. The covered rooftop was useful in the rain. One evening it was busy and social, the next I had it to myself. It amused me to be in distant Borneo and see the hostel operators' kids watching London Bridge is Falling Down on TV.

I've stayed here three times already, and the reception staff were so nice, hehe. I like the place and will definitely come back soon. The price is reasonable, just remember it's a backpacker hostel, not a hotel, so don't expect too much from the facilities ;)

This place had the strongest backpacker vibe of anywhere I visited on the island during three months in borneo. I stayed a week and loved it, though it was low season and there weren't many people around. There's plenty of space in the common area and on the rooftop, with hammocks, plus a dedicated workout area with dumbbells, a pullup bar, yoga mats, and a punching bag. Wifi was great, and there was AC, free breakfast, clean mattresses with privacy curtains, and coffee and drinking water always available. There are lots of bathrooms, all with hot water. The staff were helpful, and it's centrally located for day and night markets and buses, with cheap food all around. I'll stay again when I'm back in Sandakan. Thanks!

The room was very basic, with barely any furniture, but clean and with a comfortable bed. The bathrooms were basic too, but worked well. We booked a private twin room and were very happy with the staff. They were welcoming and available, emailed us before arrival to arrange check-in, and shared lots of useful information. The prices were good.

The sea view from the big room was amazing, and the rooftop was really good too. We really appreciated the breakfast. One suggestion, some large tables would make it easier to socialize.
