The staff were helpful, and there’s a free water dispenser in the hall. The old elevator works, so you don’t have to take the stairs. I paid 80 MYR plus 10 MYR tourist tax as a walk-in for a Deluxe Queen room. It’s handy for the bus station, and the room has plenty of space and useful furniture: a wardrobe, drawers, desk, TV and places to sit. The bed was clean and comfortable. The shower has doors, so most of the bathroom floor stays dry, and there was warm water, soap and shampoo. The AC is positioned away from the bed, though its outside unit rattled against the wall and made a lot of noise. The room felt stuffy. I assume the rooms may have been smoking rooms until recently, and the smell seems stuck in the carpet and walls. The tiles in the bathroom were clean, but the room looks like it could use an update. There’s a noodle shop next door with lots of instant noodle options, possibly all night. I wanted to enjoy the place and stay longer, but the smell was too much for me. It worked well enough for one night after arriving late by bus.
