The resort’s position over the shallow sea makes the water around it a beautiful blue. It’s also handy for island trips, with Mabul and Kapalai about 40-50 minutes away. We even had turtles visit near the east wing several times while we were there. Our five-day, four-night package included transport to and from Tawau Airport by van and boat, plus three days of island hopping and snorkelling, including Mabul and Kapalai. Zidang, Masni, and the rest of the team were polite and helpful. Recommended, and I’ll stay here again on my next visit.

The host replied promptly and the staff were helpful. Our three-day, two-night package covered airport and boat transfers, meals, and island hopping, and felt well worth the price. The meals were good enough. You can also buy fresh seafood from sellers in boats and ask the kitchen to prepare it, though you’ll need to bargain hard.

The on-site staff were much nicer, but the communication before arrival was very frustrating. Two weeks ahead, I messaged the WhatsApp number shown on both the official website and Agoda with a basic question about the boat transfer. They asked for a screenshot of my booking, which I sent right away, then went silent. Even after I asked again, they ignored the transfer question. They finally responded the day before check-in, but still didn’t answer what I’d been waiting two weeks to find out. Since the resort is out at sea, transport details should be communicated properly. Agoda clearly said the room I booked had no air-conditioning, and I was fine with that. But the aircond add-on costs RM100 per person, children included, which seems unreasonable for one room. The required boat transfer also has an extra charge per person, and that should be made clear from the beginning.

The snorkelling trips were lovely, and I loved the location. It’s a great place to relax in the middle of the ocean at a reasonable price. The rooms are clean, but could use some maintenance and attention. The curtain should be properly sized, because it looked messy, and a retractable hanger on the balcony would keep guests from using the curtain rail for clothes. Some practical improvements in the chalet would make things easier. Still, it was an exhilarating experience and everything else was perfect for me. Thanks for hosting all 17 of us. In syaa Allah, we’ll choose it again.
