Starz Water Village

We chose the island hopping and discovery scuba diving package, and both activities were incredible. The scenery was breathtaking, and the marine life was amazing. During our four days and three nights at Starz Water Village, the resort was peaceful and relaxing, and my son especially loved the diving experience. Staff were friendly and made sure we had what we needed. We had such a great time that I’m planning to return with my family. Highly recommended for adventure and relaxation.

The rooms were excellent, and everyone was very friendly. It’s a lovely water resort, and we enjoyed the delicious meals prepared for us. Bread and hot drinks were available for self-service every day. One evening we arrived a little late for dinner and there was no food left, but the staff kindly cooked some more for us.

The sunset over the water and the night view made the whole stay feel almost like a dream. We loved the atmosphere, and I honestly didn’t want to leave. Five of us came with friends after a last-minute change from our original tour agent to Legend Tours, who booked this resort for us. We had heard some frightening stories in other reviews, though I understand people can have different experiences. Ours was wonderful. The staff were all lovely, especially Elffie and Afi, who became friends of ours. They took us snorkeling, and we saw a turtle on our very first swim. The first night’s Sambal Ketam was so good we had to compete with the Chinese tourists for it, but the staff had already saved some for us. They did the same the next night. Maybe there had been a change of chefs, because the food tasted excellent. Water pressure was a little slow, which makes sense out in the middle of the ocean without access to clean water. It may also be busier during school holidays, so I’d suggest coming at another time. This was the best week of my life so far.

We still had two days left in our stay when this happened, so please check the room as soon as you arrive. The toilet pipe was leaking. We planned to tell the staff after resting a bit, but when we reported it, they said it was broken and demanded RM50. We refused because we hadn’t broken it, but they still made us pay. Record a video of everything and report any problems right away, or they may make you pay too.
