Tai Hoe Hotel

The apartments were really spacious, and the rooms were clean. I booked 3 rooms, and each had a bathroom with a hairdryer. Our kids also enjoyed the ground floor pool, game room, gym and rooftop barbecue area, especially playing pingpong on the roof. Safety at the entrance was very good, and the staff who helped us were friendly. There was no Qiblat direction provided, so we had to find it ourselves with a compass app on our phone. There’s no cafe either, and finding food in the morning or at night was quite difficult because places were far away. Check-in and check-out were handled at a different place from the hotel. The reception area there was dirty and inappropriate compared with the rooms, and didn’t feel professional. At checkout they said one towel was missing, but after checking three times, they found it. The reception is far from the hotel, so checkout took some time. For me, the room gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, safety ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, and reception ⭐️. It didn’t feel Muslim-friendly 👎👎👎.

There’s no lift, which is a downside. The clean, spacious unit 03-20a/20b got extremely hot, like an oven, even with the aircon running. Without the fan it was really uncomfortable, probably because it faces the afternoon sun. We had the whole floor and left both unit doors open at night to let in cool air from the common area.

There’s a decent swimming pool, a good gym, table tennis and a nice roof garden. It’s a wonderful place, and the two chamber aids were helpful.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Nearby restaurants and the puubkic beach are easy to get to.
