The location was good, within walking distance of Lake gardens ands Raintree walk, but I couldn’t stay for the last two nights of my three-night booking. I stayed on 30/01/26, paid for all three nights, and had to give up the money and move to another hotel. I don’t understand the good reviews on Google Maps and booking sites. Maybe some rooms are uninhabitable. I was first put in room 101, which smelled strongly of cigarettes. Staff said nobody smoked in the hotel, but there had clearly been both long-term and recent smoking in that room. It also had a lot of mould, torn wallpaper and peeling walls. I’m not fussy and am fine with basic accommodation if it’s clean, but I asked to move. They put me in 301, while my friend was in 201. All three rooms, 101, 201 and 301, were in the same spot on floors one, two and three. Rooms 201 and 301 didn’t smell of cigarettes, but had mould that felt like a health hazard, years of dust on surfaces and equipment, and flickering lights that made me worry about electrical safety. I think the sheets had been washed, but they were very old and stained. Towels were okay, and the AC and hot water worked. These rooms were right beside the lift, and we had to put up with loud thunking from its mechanics. I think the owners have given up on those three rooms.

Great value, and the built-in storage makes the room feel roomy. It was clean, and the toilet was spotless, almost like new. Basic things like a kettle, toothbrush kits and a hair dryer were provided. Loise hotel is very good. Recommended.

We stayed one night for my son's birthday and had a great time. The room had simple but nice decorations, and we booked the VIP room with a Jacuzzi. The kids loved the bubble bath. All the staff were helpful, especially receptionist Mr. Praveen. Since the hotel is right in the heart of town, I’d definitely come back on a future visit to taiping.

We booked a deluxe triple with a queen bed and a single, but were given two queen beds at no extra charge. The air conditioner leaked right onto the bed. Reception gave us a bucket and two towels, but the leak went on all day. We reported it again for repairs once the bed started getting wet and we couldn’t sleep. The bathroom was frustrating too. Water took about 15 to 20 minutes to drain, and there was no hot water during our three-day stay. That was especially inconvenient with my mother and grandmother travelling with us, since they needed warm water to bathe. The room was noisy and we could clearly hear the people next door. Service was very poor, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, particularly for anyone travelling with elderly family.
