Sentosa Villa

There’s plenty of room and greenery for children to enjoy, making this a nice spot for a family or group holiday. The resort sits beside the “jungle,” with a stream along its boundary. All that greenery brings fresh air and a calming natural setting for a relaxing stay.

The design of my room was good, and it was clean, but noise was a real problem. My ground-floor room in the main building sat beside the lobby, public toilets, and meeting/conference room, with a few other guest rooms nearby. Sounds came through loud and clear at different times, day and night, which is the opposite of tranquil. The rooms need proper sound-absorbing material. Whoever was responsible for that decision lacked foresight. The place is between a residential area and green hills, near Taiping Lake Garden. Outside the rooms, the green surroundings and landscape were a saving grace, with nice little walks, and the staff were well mannered. That’s why I gave it three stars. The bathroom floor gets very slippery when wet. There’s a warning sign and non-slip slippers outside, which helps, but they only had large slippers. Small and medium sizes should be there too for guests with smaller feet. There’s also a bathroom window that looks out toward the street lamp post while I showered. It’s ridiculous to have a window like that in a ground-floor bathroom, especially for more conservative women who may not feel at ease. The fix seems simple: tint the windows properly and put up a sign to let guests know.

The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. I couldn’t tell if the AC was working properly, since the cold air wouldn’t come on at 16 unless I turned the fan up.

When rain disrupted our stay, the staff kindly let us use the conference hall for free. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and management was helpful from beginning to end. The place is beautiful and clean, with well-functioning clean rooms and toilets. It has everything for a family day: a hall, field, BBQ area, and comfortable rooms. The management was tiptop.
