Seri Malaysia Hotel Temerloh

We only stayed one night, with my two young kids and elderly parents, after a last-minute search turned up no other nearby option. The counter staff was patient and friendly, and helped with my requests so our family could stay together. But the room was stuffy, the toilet had visible stains, and there were dead cockroaches on the floor when we arrived, so we wondered whether it had been cleaned. The TV didn't work either. Breakfast was basic, with room to improve both taste and variety. I've stayed at other Sri Malaysia branches that were cleaner and better maintained. This branch needs better upkeep and cleanliness to make for a pleasant stay.

Quiet and peaceful place to stay, and it's close to the famous pasar pagi.

The pool was temporarily closed, and the place felt neglected. I paid around MYR 180, which really didn't feel worth it. The air conditioner smelled moldy, and the old furniture was dusty. My room was on the second floor; the dull staircase had a haunting building feel, and the bushes beside it looked like they hadn't been maintained for years. I last stayed at Hotel Sri Malaysia ten years ago and remember an amazing breakfast selection. Now it's pathetic. You can find better hotels for this price, even two-star places that are cleaner. Seriously, don't even think of staying here. You're welcome.

The breakfast was pretty good, with nasi lemak, fried noodles, kuey teow soup, toast, and cereals, and I felt it was worth the price. Check-in didn't require a deposit. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms were neat and clean, and the air-conditioning and TV both worked well. They also provide an iron and ironing board. A room air freshener would have made the stay nicer.
