We felt welcome and well looked after by all the staff at Cahaya Asah Resort. The oceanfront pool was a lovely place to unwind with a fresh coconut drink, and we enjoyed the activities, from hiking to asah waterfall and dragonhorns to exploring nearby kampung and beaches. The halal buffet food was delicious, with Malaysian and western dishes and generous portions at breakfast and dinner. We'd happily recommend it to couples and families, and hope to visit again.

Kayaking right in front of the resort was fun and relaxing, and we enjoyed the snorkeling package, jungle trek to the nearby waterfall, and night BBQ with karaoke. Food was good and affordable, and breakfast was filling. Things were simple but satisfying. We'll definitely come again!

We had a fantastic 4D3N stay at Cahaya Asah with our family group of 20. Mr Ron and Kak Long, the owner and his wife, gave us a warm welcome with their crew and were always available when we needed anything. They even joined our karaoke sessions! There was plenty for everyone, including games for the kids, the pool, snorkelling, kayaking and the waterfall. The food and service were tip top, and the BBQ was especially great, with fresh fish we'd caught ourselves. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it.

We only stopped in for lunch after walking to the waterfall, but they made us feel at home. The food was tasty and nicely presented. With such friendly hospitality and a beautiful setting, this island gem is hard to forget.

We were lucky to be the first guests at this wonderful hotel. With two young kids, we all felt like we were in paradise. We went kayaking, hiking, and snorkelling in both the sea and river. The staff were always looking out for us. I'd absolutely recommend it.
