The staff were so warm and friendly. I accidentally left my shoes there for a whole day, and when I came back the next morning, they’d kept them safe for me. The kakak was especially sweet, joking around with us like family. Really appreciated that. The room sits above the water in a traditional wooden style, and had air conditioning, so it was comfortable. The view was spectacular at sunrise and sunset, and the peaceful feel made it a lovely place to enjoy nature. The price was quite affordable for the experience. The toilet and bathroom facilities could be better, though. A memorable, relaxing stay, and I’d come again for the water views and the friendly people.

The food was fantastic, and you can go kayaking. We woke up to amazing views from this beautiful place built on stilts above a tidal lake. Top place to stay. One warning, traffic on the way back to town was absolutely insane. Be careful getting to the airport, we were very lucky not to miss our flight.

The food was amazing, especially the salted egg crabs. But the room had several problems. I couldn’t lock the bathroom door, and the floor creaked with every step. The soundproofing was poor too, since I could hear people talking through the wall and walking around in their room. I asked for an extra bed, but the mattress wasn’t good. I could feel the frame against my back, so sleeping was uncomfortable. The bed and pillow covers and the comforter had very visible yellowish stains. I covered the pillow with my own clothes. I took one photo of what looked like a booger stain on the comforter, and forgot to take another of what seemed to be a blood stain with a yellowish hue on that same comforter. The view was stunning, but hygiene and room facilities were disappointing.

The host was friendly and quick to respond, which made check-in and communication smooth. The place was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s in a peaceful but convenient location, good for a relaxing getaway. Worth the price, and I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

This property needs reinvestment. Its heyday has passed, and it no longer lives up to reviews from many years ago. Please take that feedback constructively, since travelers often come from hundreds of kilometers away.
