Breakfast was really nice, but the room we stayed in was only okay. We had to switch because the air conditioners weren't working. The rooms could be better maintained, there was no bottled water, and I found cockroaches in mine. The gardens don't look like the brochure.

Even while we were there on assignment during the Cyclone Kenneth disaster, this place still felt five-star whenever everything was working. The Ibo Island community's warmth is like the warmth of the Indian Ocean.

Ibo Island Lodge made for an amazing stay, and we loved getting to experience the culture on Ibo Island. Thanks for such an awesome holiday.

I can't wait to come back. Between the history and culture, fantastic seafood and great hospitality, this is one of my favourite places in all of Africa. Swimming with dolphins and taking dhow trips made it even better.

The Quirimbas are a magical place for a holiday, with great food, dolphin swims, and breakfast or lunch out at the Sandbank.
