The food is affordable, and I found the room comfortable. For a budget hotel in Pemba, I think it may be the best option, since the beach resorts cost three times as much. I'd ask for a room at the back if I return, because the 4:30am sunrise shines right into the front rooms. I especially recommend the private spa services, including the barber.

It's a bit out of town, which makes for a quiet night after travelling. A taxi into town costs 650 MET return, and reception can arrange one. There's an airport shuttle to the hotel, plus a hairdresser and gym onsite. The food is good too.

The hotel has a classic Indian or eastern cultural feel, with services all available in one place. Prices sit somewhere in the middle, and the location is amazing. The food and service were great, and it's a place to consider for a good stay in Pemba.

The rooms were clean and the people friendly. Internet worked well, and the restaurant food was good, as was breakfast. The bar and restaurant service, though, needs to get better. The staff don't seem competent enough yet and need training.
