The lodge sits in its own park with animals including lions and rhinos, and there’s a hide beside the waterhole with great views of them. The lobby and restaurant have stunning views too. Rooms are very comfortable and thoughtfully detailed, the staff are friendly, and the food is nice. It’s a magnificent place just before the entrance to Etosha National Park, especially for anyone who loves nature and a bit of luxury.

The waterhole was magical, and we had the perfect spot to watch rhinos. The lodge itself is stunning and everyone was super nice. Huge thanks to our guide Sylvanus, who went above and beyond to find animals for us to observe. He knows nature so well and shares his passion for it. An unforgettable experience!

Rhinos coming to the waterhole in the evening were the only real plus. We expected something special at $1300 USD a night, since it had been presented as the best lodge of our stay. Instead, service was poor, with staff gathered around the kitchen and bar rather than paying attention to guests. Food was thrust in front of us instead of being served. The rooms need a refurb, though they’d be fine for a $350-a-night lodge. They also charge $100 for game drives around their own park, which had little wildlife. Drive yourself around Etosha to get the real safari experience.

A great place to spend a couple of nights before Etosha. There’s plenty to see on the private game reserve, including lions, rhinos, elephants and lots of antelope. The food was great, and the view over the waterhole was lovely.

The evening meal overlooking the reserve was incredible. We’ll never forget the morning and evening game drives around it, led by the nicest, most knowledgeable guides. The drives were spectacular, and we saw rhinos, giraffes, elephants and lions.
