The room we had was new, which was nice, and the place has potential. But the owners need to be more involved in running it day to day. Nobody explained how to get in and out on our own. We needed to leave at 7am, found the gate locked and had to wake the owner by knocking. There was no breakfast before 8am, which doesn't work well for business travelers. Most hotels and B&Bs start around 6:30. We also struggled to get the bill ready for payment, since the barman was the only person available. It could be a lovely hotel with more hands-on owners.

After a long day's ride, I expected a bit more help than just being handed a key and told the only food option was pizza, or that I could buy something at a service station or local grocer. I had to find my room on my own. The TV remote had no batteries, and the DStv remote worked but there were no channels. The WiFi password didn't work either. Then there was no water the next morning. It just wasn't what I expected.

There was a casino and shabeen on the same premises, and the noise was awful. They turned the music down after I complained, but the casino and 'bar' were still loud. On top of that, there was no refund at all. This was the worst experience I've had, and I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

The steaks here are the best in Namibia! The hotel was fantastic, and the new owners are upgrading it. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, which was very nice. I'd recommend booking here.
