We spent three nights in the tents. They’re basic, but we were comfortable, and the spacious bathroom and enclosed kitchen area, though unequipped, made a real difference. Hot water comes from a "donkey", and we never ran short. The lodge also has a full bar and meals; we had dinner there once and really enjoyed it. The boat rides and birding trips are available, and the Carmine breeding colony was the highlight of our 10 day trip, with birds everywhere on and off the Zambezi. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. As a lodge owner myself, I appreciated seeing the owner so involved in day-to-day operations. Zane was also very helpful with our needs and questions. You'll definitely see me again.

We were there for just one night, and found the accommodation very neat and clean. The food was tasty, and the owner and staff were all friendly. There’s also a beautiful tree by the restaurant where you can sit and have a drink.

We got lucky with a last minute booking, but next time we travel through Caprivi, we’ll plan to stay longer. The canoes are in top condition, and we had a lovely paddle in the afternoon and again the next morning after breakfast. Beautiful shade trees line the waterfront, and the staff and dining were excellent.

A lovely place that’s been put together with care and attention to detail. It’s not 5-star, but everything was spotless and well maintained. Don’t miss the set homemade menu, and keep this lodge in mind as a real hot tip.
