The food was a highlight for us, with fresh, delicious dinner and breakfast, and the restaurant staff were warm and attentive. Our room was roomy, spotless, and comfortable, and the property had a peaceful, elegant feel. The scenery is gorgeous, with lovely views across the landscape from the terrace, yet the lodge is still close to Windhoek. The team were welcoming and attentive throughout, and arranged a late checkout that made our departure much easier. River Crossing Lodge was a wonderful beginning and end to our Namibia trip. We left relaxed and grateful, already hoping to come back. Thank you to everyone there.

We came with friends on a cold, rainy evening to take in the city lights. The resort sits on a beautiful hilltop overlooking the capital. I just had a Hansa Draught and looked around the rooms, which seemed pretty decent.

Before our flight back to Europe, we spent a night at River Crossing Lodge. It's well placed for the airport and Windhoek, while still feeling close to nature. Our cottage had a view of the hills and the city in the distance. We were in cottage nr 1, which only had a bathtub, so showering left the whole bathroom wet 🙄. We didn't mind much. The food and drinks were good, the service was impeccable, and the staff were very friendly. Thanks to the hotel, we had a lovely last night in Namibia 😍.

The airport, Klein Windhoek, and other local attractions are all conveniently close. The views at River Crossing are breathtaking, and the staff did far more than expected to make my stay memorable. I had a wonderful time.

We booked a fantastic guided walk right from the lodge, a rolling 10 km route that took about 2.5 hours and passed a waterhole. We spotted several animals and loved being out in the countryside, especially after all the driving and sitting during our earlier safaris. The lodge is in a beautiful rural spot in the hills outside Windhoek, and the service was great. We stayed one night before flying out of Namibia.
