Pathfinder Hotel And Holiday Inn

It's sad to see a building of this size so badly managed in Ado Ekiti. The place is in a deplorable state, and the dust on the stair railings made it seem like hardly anyone was staying there. We couldn't even get power to view the rooms. They kept moving a medium-sized generator from one building to another, and it couldn't run even one AC. The hotel feels abandoned, and booking there raises security concerns.

Pathfinder, hmmm, whether this is the place you're looking for depends on what you need. It has a lot going for it: affordable, well-ventilated, spacious rooms, though what you get depends on the room category. The amenities generally worked as expected, the staff were good, and the restaurant was nice. There's also a spacious bar with a range of drinks, plus a club-like atmosphere in the evenings. Security is top-notch. A nice place.

I had a really bad time here. I was scared by how loud it was: their club played all night, and they were setting off firecrackers all night too. I couldn't sleep. The food was terrible as well. My pounded yam had what looked like mortar debris in it, and it had a bitter, almost curry-like taste. A very bad experience.

The staff and pricing were good, and the parking and location were excellent. The hotel's internal amenities need checking, though, including the water boiler and the AC remote. It's also not good enough to leave the generator off during afternoon grid outages. A hotel this size needs constant power.
